Former West Virginia lawmaker Derrick Evans was sentenced to three months in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to storming the Capitol on January 6 and live-streaming it on Facebook. CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane reports that the defense and the judge said that January 6 is one of those moments when you’ll always remember where you were when it occurred, like 9/11 or the Challenger explosion:

I remember exactly where I was on 9/11, but I don't remember where I was at the exact moment of the Challenger explosion. Though, I strongly suspect I was at the office since it happened on a Tuesday morning. As for January 6, 2021 ... I was probably reading about the past summer's fiery but mostly peaceful BLM/Antifa riots.

In any case, the January 6 select committee is doing its best to make people care about January 6, but Politico’s Betsy Woodruff Swan says two Democratic members of Congress have told her that “nobody gives a bleep about January 6.”
