Source tells Peter Alexander that Secret Service agent, SUV driver prepared to testify about Trump’s ‘lunge’
We just finished a post on George Conway saying that decades from now, people will be asking each other where they were when Cassidy Hutchinson testified before the January 6 committee. In one of the more sensational moments, Hutchinson, who wasn’t in “the Beast” when this happened, said she heard that President Donald Trump grabbed a Secret Service agent and lunged for the steering wheel to turn the car back to the Capitol Building.
The Recount (@therecount) ~ Meadows aide Cassidy Hutchinson testifies that she heard Donald Trump wanted to go to the Capitol so badly on 1/6 that he lunged to grab the steering wheel of the Beast and then put his hands on a Secret Service agent when they took him back to the White House.

George Conway (@gtconway3d) ~ He. Physically. Attacked. A. Secret. Service. Agent.
Trump wasn’t in “the Beast,” though; he was in an SUV. And sources tell NBC News that both the Secret Service agent, Robert Engel, and the driver of the presidential SUV are prepared to testify that Trump never assaulted them or lunged for the wheel.
Peter Alexander (@PeterAlexander) ~ 🚨 A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.
Scott MacFarlane (@MacFarlaneNews) ~ US Secret Service statement:
“U.S. Secret Service has been cooperating with the Select Committee since its inception in spring 2021, and will continue to do so, including by responding on the record to the Committee regarding the new allegations surfaced in today’s testimony."
Jennifer "Pro-privacy" Rubin (@JRubinBlogger) ~ Well they already cooperated according to the SS public statement so this is weird.
No, Jennifer - you pathetic twat - it isn't weird at all. The January 6 Committee Dog & Pony Show has had absolutely NOTHING on Trump this entire time and out of sheer desperation, even though the Secret Service has already disabused them of this nonsense, they went ahead and paraded this hearsay bullsh!t, anyway. IT. IS. ALL. NOTHING. BUT. LUDICROUS. POLITICAL. THEATER.
Freedom Recon (@FreedomRecon) ~ Then why is she, who wasn’t in the vehicle, giving that testimony and not them?
Richard Signorelli (@richsignorelli) ~ They have already testified.
Well, publicizing those facts would destroy the narrative the Democrat Dog & Pony Show is desperately trying to manufacture, don'tcha know.
Christina Pushaw (@ChristinaPushaw) ~ Not surprising. Because it makes no sense. Obviously the president is not sitting in the passenger seat. He’s always driven in the back of the vehicle.
Yossi Gestetner (@YossiGestetner) ~ Trump, we were told 10 days ago when Biden fell of a bike, can't ride a bike or walk off a ramp. But he can lunge to grab the wheel form the Beast. Absurd claim. More absurd that no one leaked this story the last 18 months because, it did not happen. #ClownHutchinson
So no one in the responses believes Alexander’s unnamed source, but they do believe a woman who wasn’t in the vehicle.
Well, Cassidy Hutchinson is a woman ... assuming that the Democrats can someway, somewhere find a biologist who can somehow confirm that Ms. Hutchinson is actually a "woman" ... and, you have to "believe all women," RIGHT? Oh, but hold on ... what if the unnamed source saying that the Secret Service agents are refuting Ms. Hutchinson's hearsay story is a woman, eh? Oh, no ... such a puzzlement!

Update
Here’s another:
John Santucci (@Santucci) ~ New: Source close to the Secret Service tells @PierreTABC to expect the Secret Service to push back against any allegation of an assault against an agent or President Trump reaching for the steering wheel.

Update
Dinesh D'Souza (@DineshDSouza) ~ Now Hutchinson’s lawyer says his client merely repeated what she had been TOLD — regardless of whether the things she described were in fact true!
Ah ... in other words, Ms. Hutchinson's lawyer is now saying that Ms. Hutchinson's "testimony" before the Democrat Dog & Pony Show was just her passing along some bullsh!t story she happened to hear. Got it. Thanks for the clarification.
