...gotta be at the hospital 7am monday. Surg sched for 10 or so. They will be smiting my head with a large stick prior to that so I will be asleep and not feel anything. I will be in the operating room about four hours but the surgery takes only two hours. A couple of guys I know who recently had the surgery are doing fine. After six months they didn't even have a limp. They are former atheletic types and know the importance of physical therapy. I am not that type. MZ ribit assures me that she will chase me about the house and gardens with a pool cue if necessary. Opting out isn't a choice. Will be coming home probably Tuesday and will sleep most of the day. First day of PT is Wed. I pray for all you guys cause minor discomfort and unbearable pain are about the same thing to me and I am a terrible whiner.

Was just thinking about you and your upcoming knee replacement. Still scheduled for Monday?

It will be fine.. They are far better today than they were ten years ago when my wife had her knee replaced. She came thru it in flying colors and was actually walking within a week after with an in home therapist and went to the park and walked there when my daughter came home from Virginia one month after the replacement..

Its scary to think about.. I know it bothers me also to contemplate. Please KNOW that I will be praying for you and your surgical team during your surgery and afterward. Just rest and take your pain meds.. You will need them.. Just like the hip, the knee needs to exercise and move after the surgery..

God be with you my friend...
