Half an hour ago Ribit was at the hospital for his knee replacement surgery. By now he is likely in his birthday suit lying on a bed with a sheet over him, maybe two, and likely getting blood taken from him and possibly IV stuck into his hand. Always fun... Not..
About this time one has lots of time to think and nerves can become an issue. At least for me.. When I see the anesthesiologist I usually will ask them for something to calm the jitters and thgey are happpy to oblige.. I'm usually very nervous because I am accustomed to being in control and in this situation I am totally not in control of anything and dependant on the skills of my surgeon and anesthesiologist, and the Physician's assistants.
I hope Ribit is not a bag of nerves like I am.. This is a brutal surgery as was Decomposed's heart surgery.
It only hurts after you awaken but the amount of cutting off bones and then screwing replacement knee joint into place will stay with ya awhile.
I think I am as nervous for Ribit as he likely is..
God be with you and give you the peace that passes all undestanding Ribs.. I will be praying very soon and bringing you before the Throne of our Lord.
