Re: “An AR round is 5.56 mm. That's a 5367% increase”
An AR round CAN BE 5.56 mm. It can also be built to be other sizes. My first AR-15 shoots .223 - about the same diameter as a .22. It's illegal in Virginia to hunt deer with .223 because it's unlikely to kill the deer quickly with a single shot.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Rep. Lucy McBath testifies that assault rifles can leave exit wounds a foot wide and explode skulls on impact

As Twitchy reported, the House Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing on gun violence Wednesday, and firearms experts like Rep. Jerry Nadler are filling us in about “ancient guns” like the M1 Garand and SKS. You might recall back in May when President Joe Biden informed us that “there’s simply no rational basis for” defending yourself with a 9mm handgun that can blow a lung out of a body. And if a 9mm handgun can blow a lung out of a body, imagine what an assault rifle like an AR-15 could do. Rep. Lucy McBath told the hearing just how powerful this skull-exploding weapon is.

First of all ... before moving on ... let's address the abjectly moronic statement of Rep. Nadless. The M1 Garand and the SKS are semi-automatic rifles, just like the AR-15, BUT they fire more powerful cartridges - the American .30-06 Springfield and the Russian 7.62x39mm, respectively. Nadless might stupidly think these rifles are "ancient," but they fire just as rapidly as an AR-15 and hit harder (in terms of foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle) - 2,839 ft.-lbs. for the .30-06 and 1,508 ft.-lbs. for the 7.62x39mm versus 1,293 ft.-lbs. for the AR-15's 5.56mm. Nadless really needs to shut his ignorant mouth, already.

Rep. Lucy McBath (@RepLucyMcBath) ~ With assault rifles, exit wounds can be a foot wide. The victim’s skull explodes on impact. Organs rupture, bones shatter, the shards serve as shrapnel and tear tissue to pieces.

There is a reason we never see the images after a mass murder—many of the bodies no longer exist.

Yep ... according to the stupid cow known as Rep. Lucy McBath, anyway.

Yeah, 'cuz we all need to get some!

Coffee and Gun Oil (@coffee_oil) ~ A foot is 304 mm. An AR round is 5.56 mm. That's a 5367% increase

The only thing that can expand that much, that quickly, in complete disregard of natural law, is a politician's bank account.

Joe McWopSki (@LakesFirearmsTr) ~ The flat out lies being told today in the house have been amazing. Of course the media won't confront them.

The media won't for two reasons: (1) they are willfully complicit with the lies of Democrat politicians, and (2) they are just as stupid.

Some Welder (@SomeWelder) ~ This is propaganda. None of these claims are true. People who lie should not be allowed to hold public office, let alone legislate.

Texas is Where I Stay (@JerryCoog) ~ Holy shit, I had no idea that .223 round (.003 g larger than a squirrel killing .22 round) could leave 12 inch exit wounds. What am I doing wrong?

Y2KNW (@GrtCdnNeckbeard) ~ {Replying to @RepLucyMcBath} Meanwhile, one can simply go on Youtube and watch endless hours of ballistic tests using various types of rounds and targets that prove everything you said completely wrong.

John W (@txradioguy) ~ {Replying to @RepLucyMcBath} There's no need to blatantly lie about the exit wound from an assault rifle. If you can't make your case without using obvious and easily refutable lies then you didn't have much of a case to begin with.

Wannabe Defense Atty (@StrictLiable) ~ This has to break a record for the amount of incorrect takes in a single tweet. I count 7 errors if you include the topic being Assault Weapon. My favorite one is the last one, which suggests she wants to ban complete body vaporizers in handheld form.
