Personally,
I'm one of those people who thinks that if a person really wants to commit suicide, we should let them.

Actually, I suspect that most adult transsexuals know what they doing, why they are doing it, and are trying to, let us say, 'end their torment'. And I do not have a problem with that.

Where I do have a severe problem is the 'advocates' telling small children that they can change their sex. I have an even bigger problem with any parent who allows, encourages, or supplies the drugs to pre-puberty children.

Small children know that little boys have ding-dongs and little girls don't . . . But they have no idea what those differences are going to mean when they go through puberty and grow up and become adults.

And, in my opinion, allowing or encouraging small children to make these sort of life altering decisions is a most severe form of child abuse. These cretins are stealing the futures of these kids.

Little Billy might 'transform' into what looks like a girl . . . But 'it' will never give birth and now, no longer having the male sex organs, it won't father any kids either.

I seem to be missing something regarding the "debate". Of course they are not women -- anymore than they would be a "dog" just because they "identified" as a dog and, perhaps, began acting like a caricature of a dog.

I see "trans" as pathetic, in the best sense of the word...in the sense that a person with a COMPULSION to hate their body to the point of deforming and cutting off pieces of it is, obviously, deserving of some pity.

If we find someone who can't stop slicing their own wrists, or taking heroin, that is obviously a person in torment and deserving of pity, on that basis alone. Can we all agree on that?

Than why is it inappropriate to see transgender self-loathing as anything but similarly deserving of pity...as a soul in psychiatric torment?

I know a few gay people who don't seem dominated psychologically by their homosexuality. And I have met more than a few who absolutely ARE psychologically warped by their homosexuality. Many of the latter can't seem to think about anything without interjecting their continual need for sex into it.... The latter I classify as psychologically, or maybe even psychiatrically, sick -- the former I do not.

An out of control person is not a healthy person; and their unhealthiness is something I can pity, but not something I want around me, because their unhealthiness is NOT just skin deep and can be -- should be -- expected to show up in other aspects of their behavior.
