Communism : A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members.
>>>

Zim : Communism - on the small scale, practiced by a bunch of people who like each other and are ALL willing to work together for the common good could work.

But, all too often, the commune get subverted or taken over by a 'despot' more interested in themselves living like a king with everybody else subservient to them.

People being what people are communism simply does not work.

Zim.

Capitalism : An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development occurs through the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market.

>>>
Zim : Capitalism, in my opinion, is why we Americans used to not have shortages in our grocery stores. And, China 'unleashed' their capitalists and now everything, it seems, says 'made in china'.
>>>

Centrism : is a political outlook or position that involves acceptance and/or support of a balance of social equality and a degree of social hierarchy, while opposing political changes which would result in a significant shift of society strongly to either the left or the right.

>>>
Zim : 'social equality' smells like something socialists or communists would use to enrich themselves. People being what people are, I just don't see how 'social equality' could possibly 'work'. But I suspect most people (myself included) would prefer something more 'middle of the road' rather than severe changes.
>>>

(Or am I confusing 'social equality' with 'economic equity' ? Zim.)
