But go watch some youtube videos on "how to open a geode" and you'll see that there are MANY types of geodes, some with a hollow center the size of a pea while others are bigger; some including purple amethyst while others have orange or mostly white interiors, etc. In short, they mostly don't look like the geodes you see in rock stores selling for $50 apiece.

I'll report back as I usually do and tell you guys how it goes, boom or a bust. It does sound like it could be fun though, doesn't it?
