Hi Fiz.

I agree with that thought mostly but not always. Some people like me and others I know don;t care about a payment. Those can change based on the length of time one stretches things out.. I only want to know what the total price is of something no matter what it is.. Then I can make a decision knowing all the facts.

Its one of many reasons I hate car dealerships. They always want to know what do ya want to pay each month.. They get a look of horrow when I tell them I am paying cash for a car and not financing it.. And I have nothing to trade in either.. I believe it rather brazen to condescend toward people assuming they somehow want a low monthoy payment despite how many decades it may take to pay off a purchase..
Anyway, I don;t know why but these kind of silly things always annoy me... I guess I do not like being talked down to by people who do not know any of us or our circumstances..

People buy on affordability of "payments". So, you will also notice that interest rates have had to go down, down, down since the early 1980s.

I think that is just another piece of evidence that the rules of "investing" may be destined to change.
