The problem goes all the way back to before first grade.

I got a 2 and a half year old Philipino boy who is sure
that I'm his GrandFather. He knows his alphabet and
can count rabbits, bears, whatever.

Looks like more than a few Asian Mama's are trying to
teach their kids the very basic concepts at an early age.

White Mama's tend to read to their children.

All to many black Mama's cop the attitude that 'the school
is supposed to teach the kids everything they need to
know'.

So when the kids go to first grade the white kids,
being the majority, are where the teachers start from.
The Asian kids are (mostly) ahead of the game and the
black kids . . . They start out behind and they never
catch up.

And, of course, it would be racist to flunk the black
kids . . . and the 'smartest' of them are heavily
recruited by colleges . . . And most of them do not
have the educational skills to succeed . . . But it
would be racist to flunk them so they get pawned off
as being educated . . . Till the real world bites them
in the butt.

Companies that have to make a profit can not afford to
keep that sort of dead weight on the payroll.

There's a woman on one of the other forums (okay, on TWO of the other forums) who couldn't do jobs for which she was hired. Yet, on several occasions, she got really good reviews just the same merely by sleeping with the boss. (You can ask hubby #3 about THAT if you want.)

It hardly seems fair that the "nice looking black dude" you knew was let go over something he couldn't help like incompetence. I'm not sure if that constitutes racism... or sexism. Maybe clo will opine.
