Hi Fiz!
Yes. I say only three things to the car sales manager, not the sales guy.
1. I am paying cash for this car.
2. WHAT is the very bottom line this car can be sold for and I am not going to entertain more than ONE price so it nneeds to be your best price up front..
3. I am getting the cash price from your competitor (and name them) so if you want to actually sell this car today give me the very bottom line price up front one time...
so, yes sir, I do get the discounts up front I am looking for. One time I had to walk out as I knew the manager was playing games with me.. After I headed for the door he begged me to stay.. I refused to stay and reminded him I was honest and up front with him when we began. He was not honest with me so I could no longer have any trust in him.. We were done.
My last two new car purchases went fairly smoothly like this. I am hoping these vehicles will last a very long time... I hate buying cars... Its just a hassle and time consuming.. at least to me it is... Someone else may not see it that way..
