I saw an ad for LIZ Chaney on Fox the other night. It was a monologue of DICK Chaney calling Trump a liar (talk about pot calling the kettle black) and then saying how proud he was of his daughter, how he just voted for her, and how he hopes we will, too.
At first I thought it was a lead-in to a joke. You know how Tucker Carlson and others often lead with an actual film clip of something particularly stupid.
But, nope - it was the Cheney's burning political donations. (But on NATIONAL TV, for a *STATE* election??)
It was really an odd experience watching this thing roll out. My reaction of HATE for murderous, lying, neocon Cheney was viseral from the opening. And then, as the ad got longer and Cheney began calling Trump a liar (without providing any proof, not even a link to evidence) I thought it might be some sort of flashback to four years ago, when Trump had first been elected and all these criminal claims were all over the news, Bush and Cheney and Romney were declaring alliance with the DemonRats, and we (or at least I) were worried there HAD to be some truth there... I mean, there had to be SOME basis for all those claims of Russian collusion, right? Because Washington DC, the FBI, and the Justice Dept (now under Trump...with supposed Trump appointees) couldn't be just a big criminal oligarchy -- everyone deserving decades of jail time -- willing to any crime, to anyone, to destroy ANYONE, to eventually face the "Justice" system, using pure BS evidence. I mean...Trumps political opponents had BILLIONS at their disposal (and Cheney had all those Iraq war profits from Halliburton). Surely, if they were making FELONIOUS charges they must have phenomenal evidence...right??
Anyway, I was kind of amazed at the Dick Cheney ad...especially when I realized it WAS an ad, and a recent one. And I was amazed at my visceral reaction to it. And then I found myself wondering: how many people does he think are going to be turned by this to vote for his filthy, bitch, dog-faced daughter? Anyone? Do the neo-cons STILL have that much clout in the greater population????
