Good morning Marine!
I have been a little bit of internal introspection this morning and had this thought: would I or you joined the Corps with this kind of government corruption going on that we would have known about?
I have come to the conclusion that a defintive NO would have been the answer. Of course there was a mandatory draft at that time but like you I chose the Marines instead of the army because I wanted to be part of something great and learn discipline as well as serve my country..
I have come to the thought that my country does not give a flng flip about YOU, ME, or any other servicemen or women who have any patriotism and allegiance to our Country's FLAG, Heritage, and of course, homeland.
My country has left me, you, and every other believer in the values this nation was founded FOR and Because of.
Jefferson could not have written it any more clearly.
We had a Tyrant three thousand miles away. Now we have one in Washington DC right here.. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and there is no slaking that thirst and lust..
SO I sort of feel betrayed by our country and have come to the conclusion if given the choice , I would NOT do what we did again..
