Upon further reflection, I think he was sounding a 'red alert' about a growing danger to the Nov elections. I think 'we' should take his warning and challenge seriously.
I've been aware for a while that we CRITICALLY need the Senate, not just the House. It is NOT easy to take the Senate, because their aren't very many Democrat controlled Senate seats even up for vote in November! I think only about 35 Senate seats, in total are up for election, and only 14 of those are Democrat controlled. Further, only FOUR of those Dem are in areas where the Dems don't have OVERWHELMING supermajorities. Again, if I recall correctly, those FOUR are in NH, Georgia, AZ, and WI.
Republicans are being misled, substantially by their own media sources, to fixate mostly on the House seats. Well, the House would be nice...but the SENATE is NOT going to be easy to win. And the Senate is VASTLY more powerful than the House.
And, in the best of all worlds, it is problematical if the Senate will be taken. Even getting ONE of those four possible Democrat Senate seats is a huge, difficult task.
And we really need MORE than one. We require a super majority to stop the RINOs who will remain to not continue to "wag the dog" on critical issues like impeachment, election reform, and votes for Supreme Court and cabinet positions.
We don't currently have even a “Democracy”, much less a Republic, because the Founders never counted on a huge, full time, uncontrollable (sacrosanct) administrative state acting as an additional, and most powerful, additional branch of government.
