Washington, D.C. is a sanctuary city, but Mayor Muriel Bowser was overwhelmed by a whopping 4,000 migrants bussed to the city from Texas and Arizona. She asked the National Guard to help, but it declined. She deemed it a humanitarian crisis. New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the busloads of migrants were straining the city’s social safety nets. Neither of these mayors seems to have any awareness of what it’s like for small border towns in Texas and Arizona that have been dealing with exponentially larger numbers of migrants. Axios reports that New York and D.C. officials aren’t prepared to handle the “massive influx.”
Axios (@axios) ~ New York and D.C. officials say they are not prepared to handle the massive influx of migrants, in large part due to communication issues with Texas, according to multiple reports.

Actually, we Texans have been quite communicative with New York & D.C. ...

Party Dog (@PH11122) ~ Wow, imagine how small towns in Texas and Arizona feel!
Michelle (@1Sweetness34) ~ Yeah, because Texas has SO much advance communication before migrants hit THEIR state. Admit it. NY and DC have the not-in-our-backyard mindset when you force them to live up to their "welcoming city" claims.

This ignores the fact that the Biden administration has been putting them on buses in Texas, driving them to the airport, and putting them on planes to be flown all over the country.
