I'm not sure that makes any real difference because
(a) She is a civilian -- AND SO IS DADDY
(b) If "Daddy" is not a civilian (not an enemy combatant), than neither is Zelensky nor Biden, nor any government worker, nor any 'contractor', nor any talking head, nor anyone else with any attachment to government whatsoever(including ambassadors).
(c) Russia is unlikely to let this go without response.

This is why this why the US should not be involved in "foreign wars", whether proxy or not. "We supply the money, they supply the blood" has a way of getting tit for tat; and the clear moral distinction with each escalation is almost impossible to draw.

In a SANE country, anyone who advocated for involvement in war should have to pay FIRST in blood, up-front...ideally with those they love IN front. (Again, I feel that anyone who actually already served, with a gun, under real danger, has already paid the price of admission.)

In any revision of the Constitution, that should be made a LOT more clear. You want something? You set the example by paying for it up-front, before asking for the expense to be "socialized".

Anyway, my opinion aside, Ribit, I don't think we will have to wait too long before we see the escalation. And THEN what do we do with OUR 'proxy' war? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

And NOW we are kneeling to Venezuela and Iran and Saudi Arabia, because we didn't like the price of oil from Russia, when all Russia wanted was basic respect among equals?

There are winners here: Anyone who makes war profits, including Cheney (Halliburton) and certainly Zelensky (more billions for him to grift).
