...they can't cance the debt, but they can shift it over to people who didn't borrow the money.

CNN reported that President Joe Biden was “leaning” toward canceling up to $10,000 in student loan debt for those earning less than $125,000 a year, and now The Hill is reporting that Biden will make the announcement Wednesday. There are a lot of people on social media who aren’t a bit happy about student loan debt being redistributed among the American taxpayers, and there are just as many people whining that they won’t vote for Biden unless he cancels all student debt.

There are plenty of hot takes on the subject, but this tweet by Rep. Ayanna Pressley wins the prize for the hottest take:

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (@RepPressley) ~ With the stroke of a pen, @POTUS can change lives and save lives.

He must #CancelStudentDebt and go as broad and as deep as the hurt is.

Spoken like a true deadbeat who doesn't want to pay back the money she has borrowed.

Hmmm ... let's check out an article from February 2021 ...

'I also defaulted': Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley reveals her experience with student loan debt

In a heartfelt moment speaking about racial disparities related to student debt, Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) recently revealed that she defaulted on her student loans at one point.

"Like 85% of Black students, I had to borrow; and like so many of those students, I also defaulted on those loans," Pressley said during a press conference organized by the American Federation of Teachers. "We know that Black and Brown students are five times more likely to default for those loans, than our white counterparts."

Ricardo Sanchez, a spokesperson for the congresswoman, confirmed her experience with Yahoo Finance and stated: “Congresswoman Pressley, like many Black women who have disproportionately borne the impact of the student debt crisis, had student loans that were in default for a period of time and have since been paid off. ...

A Demos report based on credit records of 35,000 student debtors, sampled from Experian’s entire credit database in December 2014, found that Black student debtors "are 16 percent more likely to be in default or seriously delinquent than white student debtors; Latino borrowers are 8 percent more likely." ...

No, Ayanna you did NOT "have to borrow." You chose to borrow and signed on the dotted line, thereby contractually obligating yourself to pay back the loan plus interest. You weren't discriminated against because of your skin color ... you chose to take out those loans under the same terms as everyone else.

As far as the statistics showing that black student debtors are 16% more likely to be in default or seriously delinquent than other races of student borrowers ... well ... that simply shows that the black community of student debtors has a higher percentage of deadbeats.

Your spokesman says that your student loans "have since been paid off." Hmmm ... funny that he doesn't just come right out and say that YOU paid them off, now does he, Ayanna? Did you possibly pay them off with campaign funds?

Others have some thoughts ...

Derek John Honore (@derek_honore) ~ "Save lives." Le Sigh.

Elizabeth Maness (@ElizbethLManess) ~ Can he send me back my investment in my children’s future? I could use that money just to buy groceries under this great economy.

Stephe96 (@Stephe96) ~ Can Biden eliminate the IRS too? That would help a LOT of Americans!

Mere4America (@MeredithHanco12) ~ I paid mine back. Do I get reimbursed?

Robert Welch II (@WelchRobert_II) ~ What hurt?

Bobby D. (@RealSaltySlim) ~ By getting a job, they can pay their loans off.

Brandon (@BF_Szn) ~ That’s how I had to pay off mine.

Or, they could become a leech (i.e., a politician) and have their campaign donors or sugar daddies pay off their loans for them!

Sue Teunissen (@TeunissenSue) ~ It’s not canceled debt, it’s transferred debt.

TarienCole (@TarienCole) ~ Blue collar families paying white collar debts. Regressive. Punitive. Inflationary. Unjust.

What is this “as deep as the hurt is” crap? It’s the most Democratic thing we’ve ever heard.

It's the Marxist, racist thing to do.
