I was not aware that Germany was doing that but with the leadership theyhave and them being all in on green crapola it does not surprise me..
Yes. with the safer smaller, newer tech nuclear power electric geneartion plants, vast amounts of energy of electric can be produced and supply the entire grids with no porblems..
That alone kinda wipes out all t he fear mongering and bologna sandwichs the public is being fed...

But you are right that what we ought to be doing is opening Yucca Mountain, moving all those spent fuel rods from all over the country into Yucca Mountain. Then building more and new nuclear power plants so we can have lots and lots of relatively cheap, reliable, non-carbon emitting electricity to power our industries and re-charge them electric cars.
