Celebrating one's straightness doesn't mean it's "anti" anything else.

MODESTO, CA – A “straight pride” march that was held outside of a Planned Parenthood in Modesto earlier in August turned ugly after being marred by violent LGBT and pro-abortion protesters who sought to disrupt the peaceful march.
On August 27th, a group dubbed as “The National Straight Pride Coalition” held a peaceful march outside of a Planned Parenthood located near McHenry and West Orangeburg Avenue, with the obvious intent to promote a message of straight pride and speaking out against abortion.
Per The National Straight Pride Coalition’s description of the demonstration, the march was meant to serve as a celebration of “heterosexuality, masculinity, femininity, babies – born and unborn and Western straight civilization, our wonderful country and Christianity.”
However, things turned violent after numerous LGBT and pro-abortion individuals swarmed over to the location where the straight pride demonstration was taking place – toting signs decrying things like “fascism” and asserting the peaceful demonstration was rife with “bigots.”
The violent miscreants embedded within the pro-LGBT and pro-abortion sects reportedly used their toted signs as makeshift weapons against the straight pride demonstrators and also began chucking bottles (a common tactic seen at Antifa riots, as they can often contain foreign/caustic liquids or be frozen so as to seriously injure a victim).
At one point during the violent clash, either a flash grenade or some kind of firecracker went off and ignited a shrub fire.
Police eventually responded to the scene adorned in riot gear, with the responding officers working to drive back the violent LGBT and pro-abortion counter-protesters.
Apparently, some alleged Proud Boys members were also in attendance in support of the straight pride demonstration. Police confirmed two purported Proud Boys were arrested as well as one LGBT activist during the skirmishes.
Speaking with local news outlet the Modesto Bee, Odetta Zapata – who admitted to having traveled from Sacramento to Modesto to protest against the straight pride event – likened their activities to being engaged in a war against both police and heterosexuals.
“We have two armies to go up against when we stand for our rights: we have to deal with the cops attacking us, and we’re about to get a second wave of right-wing extremists. We’re fearful of them attacking us as well.”
As a reminder, the counter-protestors went to that location specifically to go up against the peaceful protestors.
When the skirmishes were in full swing, police on scene were using pepper balls against the violent mob so as to expedite the dispersal of the hostile crowd that showed up. It’s unclear how many, if any at all, injuries were caused throughout the incident.
Mainstream media outlets such as CBS News have gone on to label the straight pride event as being “anti-LGBTQ” simply due to the event in question being a platform to celebrate a procreative sexual orientation.
