I have joined the ranks of ribit the elder, lol!!!
I am now going to be wearing hearing aids in both ears in the near future. My hearing is poor but if next to or close to a person I can hear and hold conversations.. So its not the end of the world but I will run our of excuses for ignoring miz micro.. I'll miss those shoes and steak knives being thrown in my direction to get my attention...
I got a lesson today on why some hearing aids cost more than others and what the differences are...
So I can purchase aids from cheap charlie's and get something that may help slightly but not cover the range of sound and hearing trouble I actually have.. and the doc can sell both.. Anything from low end to extreme high end..
Miz micro says I am getting the higher end, just not the highest..
SO we'll wait a couple of weeks and finalize a decision. They definitely will be rechargeable batteries and the ones I will be getting connect directly the bluetooth on my cell phone so the conversations is speaking directly into my hearing aids. That is kinda helpful and cool..
This particualr pair is about 6 grand total, one in each ear. After another set of audio tests today I could not beleive my hearing loss was where it is.. Its not good.
I never really noticed it before and could be I am subconsciously in denial.
So life has brought some more changes for me..
After awhile ya begins to focus on what is really important versus what we often think is important...
Anybody with experience with hearing aids I would love to know your experience and how you feel with them now....
