I took the exam just for fun. It's tough and I am glad that I could cheat today and use a calculator that wasn;t available back in those days..

The English grammar section is difficult and I really had to re-think these things I had learned as an English Major in High School. Its hard for me to believe they were teaching these things to elementary school children... And yet they did, successfully!

Then I saw a reference to the Erie Canal!
Wow.

THAT hits close to home literally.. Parts of it are under the roadway of Route 4 running thru Fairfield and Hamilton Ohio.. I had a factory close by to that..

Literally only maybe a couple hunmdred yards from the center of Route 4..

Those questions are tough and the amount of emphasis put on GRAMMAR and English is amazing..

Thanks for sharing that Fiz! It is fascinating to me...
