California Gov. Gavin Newsom has reminded everybody in his state that they need to set their thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, turn off unnecessary lights and avoid using large appliances until after 9 p.m. (so much for charging electric cars).

Phil Jankowski (@PhilJankowski) ~ Breaking: ERCOT has issued an alert for possible rolling blackouts Monday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. "A projected reserve capacity shortage with no market solution available." Additionally, ERCOT has issued a call for energy conservation Monday.
Sorry to break it to ya, Eric, but ... we didn't have any blackouts ... rolling or otherwise ... in the D/FW area this summer. Everything just kept on cranking, as per usual.
Don't worry, Eric ... just make sure Fang Fang and your wife have plenty of batteries on hand ... since their vibrators are FAR more fulfilling than you are, sport.
