The bright spot: The HORNS gave Alabama all they wanted and ALMOST beat the Crimson Tide... It was a great game and the Horns have nothing but upside from here out.
Even though they lost the game by 1, congrats are due for playing the tide to basically a draw.... Nobody expected it to be THAT close a contest.
On the other hand we have Texas A&M which got trounced by Appalachian State at home....
I felt really good for App State's coach because he is a humble guy, and was excited only for his players for their effort and hard work to beat a good football team..
The bad news: A&M is in for a long season. Arkansas will kick them completely out of the stadium IF they meet. I do notknowas I haven't looked at the schedules.
The Dawgs will eat A&M's lunch also..
Kentucky looked pretty good yesterday as well beating Florida and chomping on Gators.
Ohio State's second team receing corps looked pretty good as did the O line.. Of course they played a no name team and gave that school opportunity to make a lot of money coming to Ohio Stadium.
BUT, this game was all about getting the team back in sync after losing to a team they should have handled in the opener and lost it..
Bearcats rebounded and played like they are capable yesterday and offense got in sync. They play Indiana in a couple weeks and need to get ready for remainder of the year..
I am hopeful they will go undefeated the rest of the season. They have really brought in some great recruits for this year and next year's commits are really good.
We finally are getting talent that a lot of the power five conferences get becauseof coach Fickel's program..
I hope we keep him here in Cincinnati. He is a great coach.
