NaclO1 ,

Hi there ! Well, I am no expert but have lived here lets just say seven decades. That by itself does not qualify me as an expert on Ohio but I do travel around a lot of the state and know the tendemcies of how voters vote in those areas.

Ohio is still barely a conservative state. Not by any significant margin either.

The BIG cities are the primary liberal bastions of lunacy coupled with severe idiocy..

Northern Ohio in Cleveland, Youngstown, and Columbus tend to vote for the Democrat plantation causes and candidates. Cincinnati does as well.

The outlying cities and suburbs further north , east, west are all as RED as Red can be.... But the city folk just love misery.

Southern Ohio across the entire state is also deep red...
Its really only until one goes north toward COlumbus that Blue begins to form and also Dayton, and Sydney, Piqua..
That's up the I-75 north of dayton large towns and small cities.

So we are still a red state but you could call it turning purple...

In my county RED is the ONLY color and Demonrats need not apply here as they have zero chance of ever being elected.

As for the maps, I can see Ohio being nore like Kentucky because it too has BLUE pockets just like Ohio does and yet still has large areas that are bright red...

It is a mixed state but favors the RED more than the Blue..

The mountains of West Virginia are simply drop dead gorgeous in the fall.. Worth the drive to see all the bright fall colors on the mountains as far as ya can see the Appalachians..

There is some really great scenery around here and not far away and we likely would be in that area depicted on the map.. Indiana is actually more conservative than Ohio..

Interesting map though .... Gave me something to pause and ponder over...

Have a good evening !!!

I think Arizona, Utah, and Idaho are pretty tightly connected through their Mormon roots. I aslo think Ohio is more connected to Indiana and Pennsylvania than to Kentucky and West Virginia. I think these three states would stand alone. (Willing to stand aside for our Ohio expert. Very Happy )

I think these changes will happen slowly, at least to start.
