I wish it was possible to get the benefits and not the costs and risks of unions.

We had horrible problems with miners in the days of King Coal. The miners union was run by Marxists and socialists making outrageous demands. I remember the blackouts in the early 1970s, which they made happen to get what they wanted. In the end they demanded a three day working week with no reduction in pay.

I was hugely grateful when Maggie Thatcher humbled them.

Yes, unions have had a big bounce in popularity.

The American public has the workers’ backs, with a new Gallup poll finding that support for unions has reached its highest level since 1965.

Joe is a champion of unions, reminds Americans the middle class was built because of unions.

Unions allowed 5 day work weeks, benefits, paid holidays, etc.

I believe many folks would be better off learning a trade vs going into debt attending college.
If you learn a trade your chance of getting work are solid, plumbers, electricians etc. need to be local.
