Boss,
compared to the speed of missiles and drones . . .
40 knots is slow.

But, as I said, anti-drone technology and anti-missile
technologies are improving. And smaller cheaper
weapons platforms mean we can field a LOT more of them
and the chinese must sink most of them to keep from
having, say, their Taiwan invasion force from getting
hammered.

They aren;t exactly sitting ducks. Did the US miltary lose its own arsenal of drones??? Its not like our ships are out there without any cover in the form of Blazing fast fighter jets and other aircraft that actually have long range radar to see..

Think F-22 and Mach 3.

Those new boats have a range of missiles on them as well as lots of other weapons in addition and can move at 4 knots. China has nothing like it..

They are a deterrent in mass numbers and can launch long range missiles to land targets if need be.. I like them.

Don't sell the military short even if some pantywaists are now at the head.. We have very capable weaponry.

Jes sumpin to consider... But at 40 knots and highly maneuverable they are anything but sitting ducks and were designed to in fact, NOT be that...
