Actually De,
With today's 'smart missiles' the missile would just re-adjust its aim to where the boat actually is . . .

And 'Electronic Counter Measures' might help cause the missile to miss.

But the point remains. Which is likely to leave U.S. with war fighting capability - One BIG target to be attacked with a lot of missiles . . .

Or a LOT of smaller targets each of which is capable of doing some sort of catastrophic damage to 'their' BIG targets.

We get it! In fact, I bet from the time a drone fires a missile until it reaches its destination, a boat traveling at that speed might move as much as ten feet.

Now, if the boat is less than ten feet long, I suppose she has a chance of avoiding the missile. (But not its blast) Otherwise? Down she goes.
