I think her youth helped.

She was willing to get her hands under the hood and repair motors. Bet that got her a lot of respect from many men.

She outperformed expectations, except when Diana died.

There's been 25 years since, and she realized her shortcoming in that regard.

She even handled Trump well, no easy fete.


Do something positive.

I guess the UK will lose much of its soft, diplomatic power with her passing. She was probably a major reason why world leaders cared about what the UK had to say. For some reason, pretty much everyone revered her. The one thing that comes across is that she had a most disarming personality. I wonder how she did it.
