Well, the illegal aliens were first flown from San Antonio to Florida, before going on to Martha's Vineyard, and my understanding is that the Florida government orchestrated the entire trip - Texas to Florida to Massachusetts. So, his argument would be that the "illicit" (at least, in his fevered brainpan, anyway) trip all started in his jurisdiction.
Problem is, this bozo has been crawling around in Democrat circles for far too long, and after watching what has gone on there for years and years, has been predisposed to believe that these illegals are tantamount to children being enticed onto a bus with candy and ice cream only to be sold into sexual slavery at the end of the ride.
Like I said, he's a dumbf*ck.

It is obvious that that sherriff is trying to 'imply that a "crime" ... "luring illegal aliens into taking a trip to Martha's Vineyard" ... occurred' . . .
But my problem here is that the 'crime' (if there was one - and I'm sure there was not) took place in Florida - not his jurisdiction; or Massachusettes - also NOT his jurisdiction.
