So... given that you know this... why are you condemning capitalism when, what you mean is, THE U.S. SUCKS???? It kinda looks like you're over there coddling to a communist.

Capitalism, which isn't what the U.S. has, is just fine. There isn't a better economic system to be found - 'cept, maybe, for a benign dictatorship... but those always end horribly, don't they?

Yes, Zim, I know that. Communism works well for ANTS and BEES, not for humans. That experiment was such a blowout that even totalitarians don't want to get tainted with the broad brush label of "communist".

But that is not a test of the current contenders of Fascism vs. Socialism. And it is actually hard to find a government which is not a blend of Fascist *and* Socialist right now. So it is hard to test "capitalism" vs. socialism, I would say, in the US. The US is *not* anything remotely close to Adam Smith's ideal. And it is *absolutely* not in compliance with Ricardo's Theory of Comparative Advantage.

You may not like it (I don't like it either), but the US is arguably LESS capitalist than China...and ABSOLUTELY less capitalist than what I saw in Russia 12 years ago, and in several other other countries right now.

You need to start with definitions -- not propaganda. It is only propaganda which supports the idea that the US is actually even close to "laissez-faire" capitalist any more. The markets are not free. EVERYTHING mathematical/logical about efficiency/benefits of free markets hinges on Ricardo's premises.
