GUYS,
I find no value whatsoever in the ongoing belabored ad infinitum back and forth of definitions of MARKETS, governments, etc.
I have purposely refrained from getting involved in sucha mundane exercise.. WHAT has it accomplished.
Did it bring anyone closer together in comaraderie which for me is a release of daily stress and laughter often provided by our board's famous owner, RIBIT. Ribit's sense of humor has kept me laughing when I needed it and Mr. wizard has joined him in their daily back and forth parries.
I do not know how many people living here in this country that are legal citizens,( I am a fifth generation imigrant/native American), and lived over 30 years here are happy with what has been going on or how many are so engrossed in their daily requirement to just make enough money to pay bills and put food on the table and fuel the car and take care of the children, are happy, could care less, or are steamed about the state of affairs here.
I do not know anyone who cares about definitions of Societies and forms of economics and governmental descriptions.
I personally just want to be fat, dumb, and happy.
My daughter is a top 50 Lawyer in the state of Virginia, She is very busy as THE Lawyer for an extrememly large corooration that is growing rapidly and her husband is an executive of that company. BOTH are employed by the same place and work from their home offices. Neither has time raising two young boys, being execs at their comany and traveling, to really spend time considering all the crap that has hit the fan in the past ten years.. TWO tears are horrible but lets face it, its been going downhill for awhile..
My simple request.. Almost everyone here knowws what my background is, and so forth. I am long past a lot of things and now in retirement years am working for the JOY of Helping out others that do not possess m y decades of hands on expertise or knowledge of almost everything mechanical in facotries and processes.
I work when I want and don;t do a darn thing when I want.
This board is great source of stress relief for me.
I was NOT an economics or Government Major in COllege..
I took required courses but as a multi degreed Mechanical engineer you can guess what I was studying.
So the discussions lately going on have become rather STALE to me and I for one have no interest in them.
I OWNED TWO manufacturing plants in my life and sold products all over the world. Myself..
Still, I am in no position to parse words over definitionos that practically nobody cares about..
OKAY. That said, I have a simple request. Could we return to news events and polotical adventures and nonsense and just staying abreast of the lying government agencies and associated doings?
There are some very bright people who are here and I think thisis one collective group that is not short on brainpower or studies or practical experiences.
I'd give ya book reports on the two books a month I read but I don't think most would find the content interesting and the board is not intended for that anway..
There is not ONE PERSON on our board that I do not read.
I have great admiration for the knowledge and levels of understanding of this group and moreso for the FUN and laughter I can get from the lighter side of posts.
It is stress relief for me..
You guys are all in my view great sources of information and knowledge that I appreciate...
Let's not muddy it up with getting into too detailed definitions that are going to affect NOBODY here or the majority of citizens even have any idea or clue about.
Its TOO deep and detailed.
When I talk with clients I find that common words and simple answers and explanations are what is best so they can remember the discussion and not have to go look up words later. It works well.
Please, let me simply encourage all the members and simply remind that after 45 years of dealing with details and definitions, I really enjoy the BANTER and Comaraderie that we enjoy here..
I am blaming NO ONE as there is no blame.. I simply would like us to consider not getting so deep and and into microscopic details about things that have no impact on my next meal or purchase...
I hope nobody takes offense.. I juyst want our board to be more fun spirited PLUS have great information on events of the day, week, month that I may well not have paid any attention to..
O.K. The Longhorn and Frog can resume trying to figure out which one won the DATE with Stacey....
