The worst part for me was probably the drive home. 50 miles, and none of my internal organs felt like they were properly attached - which perhaps they weren't. That was unpleasant. For the next month, my shoulders really hurt when I tried to sleep - and I had to sleep on one side or the other. Forget about sleeping on the back...

So that was it. I was a little better each day, and after a month I was taking one-mile walks. That's better than I'm doing now!

You'll see what it's like, micro. You'll see. I actually wouldn't be surprised if you rate the pain as less than some of your other experiences. Unlike knees and hips, the sternum doesn't move a whole lot. Thank goodness for small favors.

BTW, 34 months later and my chest is back to nor... lol. No, it's not normal at all. Oh well.
