Well guys and any ladies that may read our board, it's about time for me to say bye for now.
My daughter's and wife and sons in law and grandson came to visit me this afternoon. That was nice.
I understand from my nurse that tonight will begin the preop prep. So I am assuming getting body hair shaved and maybe wiped off with some cleanser that is a germ killer perhaps? I don't know.
So this is a full blown open heart surgery like De's only I am having 4 or 5 arteries bypassed.
My sternum eill be cut down the middle like is done on these open heart procedures and the cardiologist surgeon will proceed to correct my lack of blood flow from my heart.
Surgery is around 1:00 p.m.tomorrow.
I will be sedated ahead of arriving in the O R and will be in surgery about 4 to 5 hours according to my surgeon.
I will be brought back here to ICU to recover until dismissed from hospital.
I am told it will be awhile before I feel like I can do anything.
Do I am saying bye while I can and will see you all sometime in the future.
I will miss reading your posts and will have some catching up to do. You all take care and stay well yourselves.
