Inflation is a function of both national productivity and money supply. It is system-wide. If apple prices go up, that isn't necessarily inflation. It could just be that this was a bad year for apple farmers. When things OVERALL go up, that's probably due to inflation.

When the growth of the money supply exceeds the growth of national productivity, inflation results. But it also results if a drop in productivity exceeds a drop in the money supply.

Joe Biden has effected changes to both, in the worst possible way. He has lowered productivity while increasing the money supply. Naturally, the dollar became cheaper and prices rose. I see no indication that he's changing his ways, but increased interest rates will result in a decrease in the money supply which should (eventually) bring inflation down if nothing offsets it. But I expect Congress to keep increasing its spending... and that's an offset.

BIDEN: "If Republicans win, inflation is going to get worse."

Even though Biden has overseen the highest inflation in nearly 4 decades, he's still technically correct.

Until we elect politicians who will balance the budget & end the Fed, inflation will get worse.
