Thx for including all those graphics!
I am going to be really, really, really, really, really happy if Republicans are PERMITTED (you can think 'able' if it makes you feel better) to take the Senate. This surge makes it LESS likely, imo, there will be either systemic cheating or a 'false flag' to delay things. So that is good.
If Republicans win the Senate, and especially, if they win the Senate by more than one, they will begin to be blamed for "not doing something" about the economic issues. Who created the problems tends not to be remembered very well, come the next election.
What should Republicans strategy be? I am not AT ALL sure control of House+Senate can make any discernible difference in 2 years. Yes, I do think Republicans can stop funding for Biden's IRS expansion. I also think they may be able to stop funding for some of his other boondoggles. But none of those are likely to visibly change the economic S-hole we are already in. They COULD impede funding for military adventurism and, hopefully, will impede US paying for Ukraine war. But the the Republicans can't pass any really helpful legislation without Democrat support.
Any support Democrats offer for anything is going to be poisoned, or in support of their agenda.
Again, what should/ the Republican strategy be? Any thoughts?
P.S. This doesn't change the fact that Senate control will mean control over things like Supreme Court nominiees and other high level appointments subject to Senate approval (don't know what those are, exactly).
I will open up investigations into things like Hunter, and Mar-a-lago scandals. So things things are good, per se. But in 2024 Republicans are then going to be judged for "progress" ... and I don't see how Republicans can do anything much about economic issues, nor illegal immigration, nor crime, without executive power and Presidential signatory on laws.
