This link says it has a full video link to the debate.

I'm listening now, so it works so far.

Zeldin is high energy - says he is going to change things. Hochul comes across as very equinamous. Which would be fine if citizens think everything is fine, as is. Very high on hopium.

So I can imagine someone going for equanimity. I can also imagine someone going for high energy change.

I suspect it is going to come down to whether are happy enough with the status quo...if the pace, and direction, of change is just dandy for you.

If you feel ANY trepedation about the course, I have a hard time imagining anyone feeling confident with Hochul. Hochul seems to have endless "plans" to continue travelling the directions, on the same track, she is already on...has been on from the beginning.

Anyway, the debate seems pretty boring....maybe because I am not in NY. Maybe because I am not of the opinion that America is on the right track. Last I heard, an overwhelming majority does NOT want the US to continue on the track it on. That doesn't necessarily mean they want the MAGA way, they may want a lot more Communism and abortions and muggings, for all I know.

But -- whatever direction you want NY going in -- Kathy Hochul ADAMENTLY makes clear she is NOT going to change direction....more of what she has already demonstrated. So....something like 2/3 of the country as a whole is not likely to be happy with Hochul's proposals. At least that is how I take this.

I can't stomache any more of this debate. I don't know who is "winning". It is clear Hochul is A-Okay with more of the same. It is clear none of NY's endless problems disturbs Hochul's equanimity one whit...she will not allow her course to be changed.

New Yorkers need to decided if they want four more years of hopium, with great equanimity, and a hopium pace.

Hmmmm. I am wondering if Hochul is stoned. That would explain a fair amount.

Change or slow and steady in current direction. NY voters couldn't have any different directions and energy levels. God bless them. I understand NY leads the country in citizens fleeing their home state? God bless those who are happy with what they have.

On Tuesday night, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) faced incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul (D) in their one and only debate. After having a solid lead for months, the race has become extremely competitive in recent weeks as Hochul’s record on crime has come under scrutiny.

Of course, the issue of crime came up in Tuesday night’s debate, and Zeldin was on fire, blasting Hochul for thinking that gun crime is the only crime there is.

“Kathy Hochul believes that the only crimes that are being committed are these crimes with guns,” he began. “And yet people are afraid of being pushed in front of oncoming subway cars, they’re being stabbed, beaten to death on the street with hammers.”

And Zeldin wasn’t even close to being done. “Go talk to the Asian-American community and how it has impacted them with the loss of lives. Jewish people targeted with raw, violent anti-Semitism on our streets—it just happened yet again,” he continued. “We need to be talking about all of these other crimes, but instead, Kathy Hochul’s too busy patting herself on the back, ‘Job well done!’ No, actually, right now there should be a special session—the state legislature should come back, and they should overhaul cashless bail and these other pro-criminal laws with zero tolerance. But they’re saying, ‘elect me.’ She says ‘elect me and then you’ll find out where maybe I’ll stand on this issue in January.”

Congressman Lee Zeldin has other ideas.

Not only was Zeldin on fire, but the look on Hochul’s face as her record was being torn apart was very telling. She looked completely destroyed.
