I did not see anything as to how much gasoline was consumed . . . But given the mass of the battery pack I suspect you might be right Sire.

And it was definitely NOT as 'easy' as driving a conventional infernal combustion machine.

(He shoulda bought one of those gas / electric hybrids.)

...the gasoline used to fuel the battery did not save energy. There is energy lost in the conversion process. This trip was as expensive fuel wise as if they had gone in a humvee.
