welp,

all the new comments and info are a bit of a bummer.

IF and only if there was a practical solution to keeping the battery charged while diving instead of stopping and charging I could get excited aout that, but will prefer to keep my current vehicles which work fine and get me where I need to go and when.

Darn. Knew it was too good to be true.....

Thanks for the article and the additional insights.

My brain is still expelling anesthesia fog so I am kinda woozy most time but getting better gradually.

Am up and about a lot more now and walking outdoors daily..
Only thing really bothering me is the ongoing healing of the chest .

I'll check in later!

Thanks all!

From the article :

>>>
Since the car consumed more energy than the generator could produce while driving, Mikka had to stop for 5-6 hours per day while the Tesla sat and charged. At hotels, he left the noisy generator running overnight in the parking lot so he could have a nearly full battery by morning. During one highway stint, he was pulled over for driving too slowly as he tried to keep energy consumption down.

I did not see anything as to how much gasoline was consumed . . . But given the mass of the battery pack I suspect you might be right Sire.

And it was definitely NOT as 'easy' as driving a conventional infernal combustion machine.

(He shoulda bought one of those gas / electric hybrids.)
