Hi Fiz!

I am sorry to learn you too have suffered a heart attack and the open heart surgery. Its a gruesome recovery compared to the other 16 surgical recoveries I have endured in my lifetime, the last one was at end of January this year with the hip replacement..

I was caught completely by surprise with this. Things went so fast after my primary doctor sent me directly to the hospital and had a cardiologist waiting for me.

This is a miserable recovery as both you and De can attest to.

I cannot tolerate anything, any part of a shirt (flannel button up) making contact with the incision line. It lights me up.. Sensitivity is on high alert...

I suppose that's normal but I have not yet gotten past that ultra sensitive feeling yet. How long did it take you guys to get past that ?????

Because I was put under anesthesia twice to be operated on two days apart I have a fair amount of that stuff still to get rid of....

I want to return to normal quickly and get going again.

I have clients to see I was getting ready to go see up in Akron/Canton area for first time and spend time in their factories... I was going to leave the next morning early before Doc sent me to the hospital and the rest is history at this point.

I also was supposed to get my new state of the art hearing aids from my hearing doc I had ordered a month earlier.. Haven;t been there yet either....

Plus, this Thanksgiving we have my entire family coming plus my wife's sister who lives alone but we reserved a bedroom for her permanently as she stays with us over the holidays.. I told her with my wife's blessing that I would watch out for her and she always has a home to live in whenever she tires of living in an aprtment in another town an hour away from all the family.

I would even build a wing onto the house adding another bedroom, full bath, and a small Den if she would like that.. IF I die before my wife she could have her sister move in and live together..

Anyway, I cannot help my wife with picking up 20 pound turkeys, or things to help her with this holiday mess. My baby daughter the lawyer and her family will be here as well as her sister and family. We'll find room for all and enjoy them... I just wish I was in physical condition to be of help.. My beloved is not getting any younger either...

So, you can see why I want to get to stronger faster. LOTS to do here. I cannot travel unto after first of year anyway..
I am just tired of the sensitivity of the incision line and wondered what your experiences were with it .....

Thanks in advance!

micro....

PS. Is this what they call body art?????

I'm glad to hear it. It sounds like you're recovering on about the same schedule that I was. The big question though is . . . HAVE YOU SNEEZED YET????
