I could have tested sooner, but I wanted to maximize the chances that I was over the thing before taking the second test. The kits are rather expensive - $10 apiece. I tested once to confirm that I definitely had Covid and a second time to confirm that I no longer did. (Technically, I don't know for sure what I had. The test kit says it responds positively to either SARS-CoV-1 or SARS-CoV-2.)

For me, Covid was a long-lasting but mild to moderate cold. My two tests were 12 days apart, but I was sick for several days before the first test.

The experience was really no big deal. I've had many colds in my life and I'd say that most were worse than this. I think my wife would say the same, though her experience and mine differed symptomatically. For me, it was mostly a runny nose. For her, it was mostly exhaustion.

And now we've got real immunity... to that variant, anyway.

In other news, I couldn't find my toothpaste last night. But I still had three tubes of Ivermectin, so.... Rolling Eyes

In other [Covid] news, my wife tested negative last night. I tested for the first time this morning. No surprise, it came out positive. I'm about ten days behind her on the symptoms . Hopefully ten days behind her on the recovery, too.

It will be nice to join the ranks of those who CAN'T contract the virus. For a few years, at least, my wife and I get a pass while the teeming millions of vaccinated do not.

As far as colds go, Covid-19 has been a piece of cake. Only Day #2 (body aches) was memorably bad. I credit our vitamin regimen, the Netty-potting we did, and the Ivermectin horse paste even though my wife declined to use it and had a comparable experience.
