I normally get a Pneumonia shot on a routine schedule and a regular Flu vaccine from a real company, which is almost anyone except Pfizer.... or Morderna....

And yes, when ya re 70 , or close to it, these influenza virii are harder on ya than when we wuz younger..

De does not need me to tell him that he , like me, since we both have hearts that have been repaired , need to take precautions especially with FLU ....

The flu, on the other hand, is terrible. The two I can remember had me wishing for death and suspecting that my wish was being granted.

I understand about not getting a flu shot - because you were younger and the flu was unlikely to kill you. I haven't had one for thirty years for that very reason. When you get to 70 or so, things change and the flu can kill you. It's a realistic concern - as is pneumonia. In both cases, getting vaccinated (with a REAL vaccine) is prudent. Of course, if the flu shot guards against the wrong flu, or the pneumonia you get is viral instead of bacterial, then the shot won't help. But I think it otherwise will.
