Greetings from a cold southwestern Ohio this morning !
I am making good progress. I started driving short distances this week. Like to the local store, a few miles to see my older brother who had a birthday last day of November and take him some goodies to munch on for a tasty present!
As De knows, the chest incision takes a while to stop being a place of irritation. Doesn't hurt per se but just does not like clothingto rub on it because it is irritatiing..
My body strength is returning gradually and best news is my oldest daughter who is almost a PHD in Science (anatomy and physiology) surprised me over the weekend with a method to relieve the pain in my right hip running down into my right knee and creates additional obstacles to my ability to walk normally. )Realize I have a arthritic eaten out right knee I get Gel cushioning injections into)
My daughter educated me about T-Bands and suggested that mine were in dire need of being massaged and loosened up which would significantly help my walking and my right foot path in my gait. (keeping foot toe facing forward in alignment instead of wandering off to the right side)
So she brought a massager and showed me how to use it on the T Bands on my right thigh..
To my surprise, this actually helped my ability to walk with my lower leg staying in alignment and toe of my foot staying pointed forward instead of off to the right side.. And my knee felt better as well....
I am surprised but feeling pretty thankful I was blessed with daughters of acute intelligence and who want to help their dad.. I do not know if anyone else ever heard of T-Bands but it was new to my ears and am glad this is a simple fix that I can do daily...
