I am on the sameone as you. I discontinued the Lipitor because it created problems for me and the side effects were in full swing. Once stopped taking that and put on Rosuvastatin that all went away.

At least the cardiologist is listening to me.

So we are taking the same statin.Do they have you on a blood thinner also?? I was but I needed to stop because I have to have injections into my right knee to put some gel for cushioning inside. I have one more injection to go next week. I will ask the doc if its really necessary to be a blood thinner. I don;t want to be on any more meds than absolutely necessary.. Before all this I wasn;t on ANY.. So I am not a fan of taking lots of pills unless I really need to...

Re: “I am on a statin daily to keep them cleaned.”
Which one? Lipitor / atorvastatin was regarded as "world class" among statins for years but no longer is. Some newer ones have come along that have fewer side effects. (Lipitor can cause liver and muscle damage.) The statin I'm on is called "Rosuvastatin." You might want to ask your regular physician what he thinks of it. Doctors have a tendency to not mess with medications unless a patient complains, but in this case perhaps your doctor should.
