I've often thought about what reaction I would receive if I could take news of modern events back to the 60s and the 70s and show it to my grandparents, parents, uncles, and aunts. I'm sure the initial reaction would be one of complete disbelief. Although, given the vast majority of my family members were staunch Christians, they would not discount the total depravity that humankind could and would gravitate towards, but I'm sure they would absolutely astonished at how quickly and far the decline would be for this country that they dearly loved.
