Californica has a nasty habit of bankrupting its power companies.

As you say, you believe you will be able to get your original money back out in a few months. . . I would strongly suggest you do so. And be ready to get the heck out at the first sign of trouble.

Me? I am still a 'buy and hold' kind of guy . . . I'd like to be able to buy and hold my power company stocks for the rest of my life . . . Unlikely to be successful that way in californica. (Again, my opinion.)

Re: “In my inexpert opinion, De, NOTHING in californica is a 'strong buy'.”
Ar, ar, ar. You're funny.

But I'm coming more from the position of someone who likes to make money than that of someone who wants to be funny.

There's nothing unethical (that I know of) about investing in PG&E. And it was and is obviously going to be profitable. In another few months, I may be able to take my original money out and continue the ride for free.
