We spent a long weekend over the hill, Sierras in Carson City, NV with our daughter's inlaws, great time, a chance to catch up since they moved, caught Avatar, a loop over to the NE corner of Lake Tahoe, over Mt Rose and back over Hiway 50...Beautiful, partly cloudy, but dry roads, not too much traffic..
Then this morning, back up over Donner Pass, heavy rain, some snow up top, but just mushy on the I-80, no need for either 4X4 or chains, had them, but no need... Once back near Sacramento, no rain, just a bit more traffic.. Some flooding, so a bit of a detour near Sonoma.. Need the water, so no complaints, but sad to see the rain wiping out some of the Sierra's snow... Another storm coming tomorrow, so maybe it will add up...
No low temps, in fact it was 50 when we were on the road a while... Wet n wild...
