+excellent article ! Thank you!

I would like to add an additional comment to the one about Putin being the aggressor..
Zelensky , despite all the television appearances, travels to America and other nations and lest we forget, Ukraine was at the center of a large corruption scheme prior to this war with certain persons of this present so called "administration". But lets not worry that the Billions we are sending to Ukraine is in honest, upstanding hands. We all know it's not and lots of it dissappears down a rabbit hole..

As much as I dislike Putin, I do not like Zelensky much better.. Yes, Putin invaded Ukraine and started a war and killed a whole lot of innocent civilians, childfren, women.. He has a special place in hell waiting for him..

But I also have zero regard for Zelensky who likes to make it appear as if he is some kind of war hero.

I just suspect that both Ribs, myself, and any other vets we have know more about combat and real fighting than Zelensky.. I wonder what his net worth has grown to since Putin's incursion began?

Forces: Putin’s New Model Army

http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htworld/articles/20221229.aspx

December 29, 2022

(>>> Skip Some >>>)

The new army will purportedly consist of over 30 divisions and require complete re-equipping because most of what the 2021 army had was lost in Ukraine, where many of the armored vehicles were abandoned by crews unwilling to fight in vehicles proven to be terribly vulnerable to the Western anti-tank weapons NATO had supplied Ukraine with. Some of the new divisions will be assigned to defend portions of Ukraine Russia presently occupies, but not much longer because of Ukraine’s continuing counter-offensive.

The new Russian army not only needs new weapons but also new officers. Most of the army officers the army had in 2021 have already been killed, captured or disabled in Ukraine. There were no replacements for the lost infantry officers so Russia tried calling up retired officers and transferring non-infantry officers to lead infantry units. That did not work. Another problem is the lack of NCOs. These have been a staple of Western armies for centuries and are often capable of replacing infantry officers lost in combat. Russia abolished NCOs a century ago and has not been able to rebuild that after more than a decade of trying.

Zim. > So, Putin wants to 're-build' a new, larger Russian Army . . . But he doesn't have enough tanks or other armored vehicles due to losses in Ukraine . . . Not enough officers due to losses in Ukraine . . . and Russia eliminated their NCO's a long time ago.

In the meantime Russia is launching wave after wave of missile and 'kamikazi' UAV attacks on Ukrainian cities.

Putin claims he wants 'Peace Talks' - in other words he wants a 'temporary truce' while he drafts more conscripts and tries to manufacture, beg, borrow, or steal munitions with which to try and prosecute the War.

Putin also wants 'guarantees of security' . . . I should not need to remind anybody that putin IS the aggressor. Putin ordered the invasions of Ukraine - first in 2014 and again in 2022.
