It seems to me that if there were much truth to this, gold would already have made a sizeable move - and not the measly $30 gain it has seen in the last few weeks. Kitco is today running a story predicting a $100 rise in the barbarous metal . . . IN THE NEXT YEAR. Woop de doo.

I figure that when "everyone" is hunting for a dollar alternative, there'll be a quick $1,000 rise in the most obvious of all dollar alternatives. Not $100. And not in a year.

Folks obviously aren't hunting too hard or something more dramatic would already have occurred.
