As I said before, Boss. I use Linux maybe once or twice a month.

But, what you could do, is buy another hard drive. Download Linux and burn it to a DVD. Swap out the existing Windoze hard drive for the new one and try installing Linux on it.

If it installs and runs good, check it out and see how you like it.

If not, or when done, remove the Linux drive and label it as such. Then swap the Windoze drive back in and be right back where you started from.

P.S. I just fired up my Linux box. It says it is running Linux Mint 20. Cinnamon 64 bit. It also says I have 8 Gigs of RAM in the box.

I run windows 7 pro on my desktop in my office. I have not had any blue screens of death. In fact, I have had almost zero problems. Not completely problem free but did have one error that had nothing to do with the operating system.

Now, I run some programs that get rids of crap from the computer every day. I keep it clean. So my experience with this operating system seems to be totally different than yours. Windows 10 is what is on my HP Laptop . Aside from all the crap HP wants to install on the computer the operating system has been very stable.

I still prefer my windows 7 pro to the windows 10 though.

Sometime I still want to build me another desktop and install one of the linux distros like MINT on the hard drive like Zim uses. I am not saying Zim uses Mint, but one of the Linux distros and quite successfully.


MAybe 2023 might be the year... Will see. I will call on Zim to assist me when I run into trouble! lol!!!

Hey, if it can be messed up, I am confident that I can do it!
