it's a new year according to the calendar.
Some of us here have very real reasons for being grateful to still being here on earth to see the start of a new year. We all have an appointed time to die. So today we can be thankful that we are alive to see yet another year in God's plans for all His creation . He has given us all life that lasts inside these temporary bodies a finite time but has prepared new everlasting ones for us that are flawless and problem free.
In some ways I have come closer to understanding my own mortality this past October in a very real sense and am more aware of how close we are to leaving this body behind. My experience has made a definite impression on me. I am sure De has likely a similar awareness as well.
For myself to be able to say Happy New Year has new meaning as I am simply grateful to be here and yet, know of the glory of heaven and a new body that awaits me for all eternity.
This year I will be much more aware of the gift of Life and goodness that God has bestowed to me and my loved ones. I will cherish and not take for granted special times and events in my loved ones lives. I will be more thankful and grateful for all the goodness my God has shown me and provided for me and my beloved wife should He allow later this year, 49 years of being my wife and help meet. I would not be here without her..
So I wish everyone here a blessed year and in spite of all the turmoil and ungodly acts and deeds of the government and people in power, I rest in the knowledge that my Father knows what they are doing, and He has permitted it as part of His plans and he has recorded their crimes and sins and will show it all to them one day AFTER they have spent a thousand years in Hell..
So I will rejoice and know that HE is in charge and in control and sees everything that goes on.. No sense in getting my blood pressure up over things that our Lord already knows all about and has under control..
